tragic yet avoidable global problems. Currently, there are
estimated to be some 250 million people who are blind or vision
impaired simply because they don’t have access to an
eye examination or a pair of glasses.

The World Health Organisation has recognised that blindness
prevention and vision correction are positioned alongside
immunisation as the most cost-effective and efficient of all
known health interventions.

international organisations, developed to give sight to people
desperately in need:
